Well, after lots of planning, our Arts for Life Expo starts this week – Wednesday, 10/30, to be exact. However, it appears that gremlins invaded the newspaper offices and, for the most part, word of this exciting program was confined to on-line announcements – where it’s REALLY unlikely to be seen. Then there was the paper that printed it – in the Real Estate and Business section! Consequently, enrollment is low and not every class will run., so if you have not signed up and plan to take a class, please call first to make sure it’s happening (201-816-8160 x 35) or, even better, enroll now! Am I discouraged? No. Things need to be nurtured in order to grow, and we intend to nurture Arts for Life until the word gets out and it’s a going concern. Why? Because everywhere I speak about this, it’s greeted with enormous enthusiasm, by individuals and by professionals who work in “senior services.” The level of arts programming that’s offered specifically for older people is sadly lacking in both quantity and quality. My personal mission is to raise that level – to connect active older adults with the finest in arts learning. I hope you will join me in this venture – this ADventure!
